Hyderabad: A case of Ibrahimpatnam doctors negligence surfaced after a baby died in the womb at a private hospital in Rangareddy district, prompting police to register a case and begin an investigation.
The incident occurred on February 25th ,Wednesday at Sai Harshita Hospital in Ibrahimpatnam. A pregnant woman from Mamidipalli village in Balapur mandal was admitted with abdominal pain. Doctors who had examined her earlier reportedly told the family that her condition was stable.
However, her health deteriorated later. Family members alleged that the hospital failed to provide timely treatment despite repeated complaints about severe pain. They claimed that when they decided to shift her to a government hospital, doctors expressed inability to manage the case.
According to the family, the delay in treatment led to the baby’s death in the womb. They held the hospital staff responsible and accused them of negligence.

Tension prevailed outside the hospital as relatives staged a protest demanding action against the management. They alleged that proper monitoring and emergency response were not provided when the woman’s condition turned critical.
On receiving information, police reached the hospital and brought the situation under control. Subsequently, they registered a case based on a complaint filed by the victim’s family.
Officials said they had launched an investigation into the Ibrahimpatnam doctors negligence allegations. They added that further action would depend on the findings of the probe.
