Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Police busted an organised Hyderabad drug racket in Chikkadpally and arrested four people, including a woman software engineer working with a reputed software firm.

Police said the accused included the woman, her boyfriend and two associates. Acting on a specific tip-off, teams carried out a planned raid and caught the suspects red-handed. Officers said the group supplied narcotics to youth and IT professionals across the city.

According to police, the woman used her modern lifestyle and professional background as a cover. Along with her boyfriend, she allegedly handled procurement and distribution. The network targeted young customers and sold MDMA, LSD and high-value OG Kush.

During the operation, police seized a large quantity of narcotics. Officials estimated the market value at about ₹4 lakh. Investigators said the racket operated in several Hyderabad localities. The accused contacted customers through social media platforms and encrypted chat applications.

Police registered a case and launched further investigation to trace suppliers and links. Officers said they were analysing digital devices to identify buyers and money trails. They added that more arrests were likely as the probe continued.
