DTC Kishan Naik remanded to 14 days, sent to Chanchalguda jail
Hyderabad: An ACB court on Wednesday remanded Mahbubnagar Deputy Transport Commissioner Kishan Naik to 14 days of judicial custody in a disproportionate assets case and sent him to Chanchalguda Jail.
Acting on complaints that alleged assets beyond known income sources, officials of the Anti-Corruption Bureau conducted extensive searches on Tuesday. Teams searched Naik’s residence at RR Nagar Colony in Old Boynapalli, Hyderabad, and other linked locations.
ACB teams carried out simultaneous raids at 12 places. These included homes of relatives and close associates in Hyderabad, Nizamabad and Narayankhed. Officers also searched the District Transport Office in Mahbubnagar, officials said.
After completing the searches, investigators produced Kishan Naik before the ACB court, which ordered judicial custody for 14 days. Officials said the raids yielded large quantities of movable and immovable assets.
