Cyberabad Police expand awareness on trafficking, safety
Hyderabad: The Cyberabad AHTU (Anti Human Trafficking Unit) stepped up preventive and awareness measures during a week-long special drive. The initiative focused on human trafficking, public safety, and crimes against women and children.
Cyberabad AHTU special drive stresses prevention outreach
During the drive, AHTU and SHE Teams jointly held awareness programmes at several locations. A total of 7,229 people attended these sessions. The teams educated participants on human trafficking, child trafficking, eve teasing, and cyber harassment.
In addition, the teams covered issues such as child marriages, child labour, stalking, begging, cyber bullying, and cyber fraud. They also explained the use of emergency and support services. These included Women Helpline 181, Child Helpline 1098, Dial 100, and Crime Helpline 1930.
Alongside awareness efforts, the drive combined enforcement, counselling, and family dispute resolution. Through these measures, the Cyberabad police aimed to strengthen community safety and public vigilance.
