Cold wave conditions in Telangana as dry weather continues

Hyderabad: Cold wave conditions are likely to persist in isolated parts of Telangana. Meanwhile, dry weather will continue across the state, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

In a bulletin issued at 8:30 pm IST on December 21, 2025, the IMD said minimum temperatures may stay 3°C to 4°C below normal. These conditions may occur at isolated locations over the next two days. Additionally, the department forecast dry weather statewide during this period.

Cold wave conditions may affect isolated pockets in several districts. These include Adilabad, Komuram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Warangal, Hanumakonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Sangareddy, Medak, and Kamareddy. Therefore, the warning remains in effect for Day 1 and Day 2 of the seven-day forecast.

From December 23 to December 28, the IMD expects dry weather to continue. However, no warnings are in place from Day 3 onward.

According to the five-day minimum temperature forecast, several districts may see temperatures between 5°C and 10°C. These include Adilabad, Hanumakonda, Jangaon, Kamareddy, Mancherial, Medak, Sangareddy, Siddipet, and Warangal. In contrast, Hyderabad and a few other districts may record minimum temperatures between 11°C and 15°C.

Therefore, the IMD advised residents in affected districts to remain alert. Meanwhile, the department said it will continue to monitor weather conditions. Further updates will be issued as required.
