Passengers safe after bus accident near Manavapadu
Hyderabad: A major mishap was narrowly avoided on NH-44 near Manavapadu in Jogulamba Gadwal district when a private travels bus veered off the road after the driver attempted to avoid a suddenly braked car ahead. All 27 passengers escaped without injury, bringing relief to locals who witnessed the near-disaster.
The Madhavi Travels bus was travelling from Anantapur to Hyderabad when it approached the Manavapadu stage area. A car ahead applied an abrupt brake, prompting the driver to swerve the bus sideways. The vehicle lost control, rammed into roadside safety barriers and slid off the highway before coming to a stop against a tree.

Witnesses reported panic as the speeding bus left the roadway. However, the emergency exit became crucial when the front door jammed during the impact. Passengers were able to exit quickly, preventing injuries.
Driver Prasad and cleaner Devanand said the bus had left Anantapur around 10:30 PM and the incident occurred between 2 and 3 AM. Prasad confirmed that every passenger was safe and no one suffered even a minor injury.
The safe evacuation led to immense relief for passengers and locals who rushed to assist at the scene.
