Moreover, he observed that technological advancements, including artificial intelligence, have transformed crime patterns, making them more complex and difficult to control.

He expressed concern that drug consumption is increasingly affecting educated youth. As a result, many capable students are losing their potential and productivity. However, he noted that the government’s push toward sports and constructive activities offers a meaningful solution to keep youth away from harmful habits.

Furthermore, Adil suggested introducing special police checkpoints for drug testing, similar to drunk-and-drive checks. He also recommended imposing hefty penalties and ensuring legal prosecution to deter offenders. In addition, he called for the widespread availability of drug testing kits across police departments.

Referring to Punjab’s drug crisis, Adil warned that it should serve as a cautionary example. He commended the Chief Minister’s firm commitment to preventing Telangana from facing a similar situation.

He also emphasised that youth play a critical role in nation-building. Therefore, promoting discipline and fitness through sports remains essential. Highlighting Hyderabad’s sporting legacy, he recalled the city’s prominence in Indian football during the 1950s and 1960s.

Adil further welcomed the establishment of the Young India Sports University under a public-private partnership model. He said it would provide world-class training and guidance to aspiring athletes.

He praised the government for recognising sporting excellence, citing achievements of Nikhat Zareen, Mohammed Siraj, and Deepthi Jeevanji. According to him, such recognition motivates youth to pursue sports seriously.

Adil concluded that combining strict anti-drug measures with sports promotion will help build a healthier and more disciplined society.
